3V Visa Prepaid Vouchers

Recently, I discovered 3V Visa Vouchers online, and when contacted to see if I’d like to try them out of course I said yes!  What are 3V Visa Vouchers?

Basically, 3V Visa Vouchers can be purchased at any number of retailers (15,000 locations across Canada) and can then be used online wherever Visa purchases are accepted!

This is a great way for so many people to make online purchases, who may otherwise not be able to.

People that I think could use 3V Visa Vouchers:

~ Younger students that do not have their own credit cards (and mom and dad don’t want them having access to theirs!)
~ People who have no credit cards for whatever reason (bankruptcy, bad credit, unable to secure one)
~ People that are not comfortable with online shopping, who do not want their primary credit card used for online purchases
~ Gift giving option for people, instead of a specific gift card for one store, the 3V Visa can be used anywhere Visa is accepted online

The process for using my 3V Visa was easy.  Saving me a step, I was sent the 3V Visa voucher via email (gift-givers can do this too if you have access to a scanner to scan in the voucher).  The 3V Visa Voucher has an activation code on it so I simply followed the steps on the voucher which are:

1. Go to www.3vcash.ca
2. Click to “redeem your 3V activation code”
3. Enter in your 3V activation code and email address
4. Receive your unique 3V Visa number, CW2 code, and expiry date.
5. Shop online wherever Visa is accepted!

As a safety feature, when you enter in the activation code and receive your 3V Visa number, this appears right on the screen in your account (you can always go back into your account to retrieve the info again) and the CW2 code and expiry date are sent to you via email. The CW2 code is the 3 digit security code found at the back of your credit card that many websites will ask for now.

Now that I had my information, I was ready to shop! Oh where to start? I visited a few of my favorite websites to browse around and, annoyed by the shipping charges at some (*cough* Bath & Body Works) I finally decided what I wanted to order at Lululemon.ca (they have free shipping!) The only issue I encountered with my 3V Visa is one that anyone will encounter with online shopping – most sites do not give you the ability to use more than one method of payment. In other words since my 3V Visa was for $50 I had to find something that was as close to that amount as I could find, to use up most of the card.

So, I guess my advice is that if you intend to start doing more online shopping and have now found the perfect way to do it with 3V Visa Vouchers, purchase them in a larger amount so that you have enough when going to make a purchase and use the leftovers here and there where you can.
