When I received my Keurig Platinum Brewer in late December, I was so excited to start sampling the 100’s of varieties of coffee, tea, and cocoa available. I was sent a few boxes with my brewer to get me started, but soon enough it came time to purchase more. Now what?
Living in Canada, it can sometimes be difficult for us to order the same products Americans can find at the closest store. I was happy to see that Keurig ships to Canada and even more happy to learn that if customers register their Keurig brewer on the site (code found on the bottom of the box, or on the brewer itself) they can receive two free boxes of K Cups. It took me forever to decide on what to order (customers receive free shipping with an order over $45). Canadian customers incur a “$9.95 surcharge for documentation and brokerage fees” and that’s on top of possible Customs charges! Also, my order took (what felt like) forever to arrive. I ordered the items on January 5th and didn’t receive them January 21st, 16 days later. I happily put them away in my cupboard (actually make that plural, cupboards, since I can’t fit all my boxes in the picture above).
And so, I am on the hunt for Keurig K Cups here in Canada! The Keurig site has a link for Canadian customers with online retailers and in store locations where Canadian customers can find K Cups. I’ve checked out a few in store locations (Costco, Home Outfitters, Sears, and even Sobeys) and have found that they all have the same varieties which is weird.
I think I’m going to try Cafe Breville next which is Canada’s official Keurig store (who knew?) Looking through the site, they have way more variety than I’ve found in any actual store so far, so this looks like a good fit. They have a new favorite K Cup of mine – Gloria Jean’s Butter Toffee but they don’t have another new favorite, Donut House Chocolate Glazed Donut (yes I know I’m drinking coffee but I prefer them to taste like delicious desserts too apparently!)
So what’s a coffee addict girl to do? Canadians, do you have a favorite store or site that you order Keurig K Cups from? If so, let me know. The more coffee I have, the more writing I can do, the more giveaways to be won. See, we all win here.
There is a new store now in Hamilton called Black Cat Coffee Service, they are on the Mountain across from Carmen’s. Great prices and fabulous customer service!
I buy my K-cups from Tweed and Hickory. I keep looking for new sites because they are not the cheapest, but, so far, they have the best variety I have found,.
I’m a bit confused!!! I was reading the comments where they mention looking for the single cup K-cups. Aren’t they all single cups???
Also, I would love to know what people think of the Keurig coffeemaker as oppossed to the Tassimo!
Opinions any one?????
Thx
Here one of our local coffee suppliers, (Van Houtte) to gas stations, restaurants etc. sells discounted, expired cups for cheap at their main office and they have a decent variety. Maybe check out some of your local suppliers.
I’m confused isn’t there a whole keurig store somewhere my friend told me that
