Spring Reads Giveaway

Now that the warm spring weather is finally here, and summer is just around the corner, I have found my happy place on my backyard deck. I love reading all year round, but haven’t found my perfect reading-nook in our house. My backyard though? My backyard is my place.

I am so happy and thankful that my partnership with Simon + Schuster allows me to receive Advanced Reader Copies (ARC as they’re known) of some of the latest and soon to be bestsellers throughout the year. ARC means they’re almost ready for market but throughout reading them you may find the odd typo or grammatical error (which I secretly love) and of course also means you’re up to date on the latest reads before they’re available for mass purchase. It means I can share with my friends ahead of time too, and also give them a heads up on what I think are going to be the hottest reads this summer.

Here’s the list below of every book I received from Simon + Schuster this spring, along with the publishing date for each of them so you know when to look for them!

The Daughter’s Tale The internationally bestselling author of The German Girl delivers an unforgettable family saga of love and redemption during World War II, based on the true story of the Nazi massacre of a French village in 1944.(May 7)

The UnHoneymooners For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.(May 14)

The Stationery Shop From the award-winning author of Together Tea—a debut novel hailed as “compassionate, funny, and wise” by Jill Davis, bestselling author of Girls’ Poker Night—comes a powerful love story exploring loss, reconciliation, and the quirks of fate. (June 18)

Mrs Everything From Jennifer Weiner, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Who Do You Love and In Her Shoes comes a smart, thoughtful, and timely exploration of two sisters’ lives from the 1950s to the present as they struggle to find their places—and be true to themselves—in a rapidly evolving world. I’ve been so happy having these books on my shelf knowing they’re going to take me through the spring and into the summer months! My reading goal for 2019 is 20 books and I’ve completed 8 so I’m on track.

From the group above, I’ve read Your Life is Mine and found it really interesting, given the stories we keep hearing in the news about school/mass shootings. If you like true-crime podcasts and digging into the depths of the mind of a killer, you’ll like this book.

I also just finished I’ll Never Tell and read it over the long weekend. If you’ve ever been to summer camp (I did, once!) or love a good summer-holiday story, this is a great read that will take you no time at all to get through because the story intrigues you, and you want to figure out the mystery presented. There’s a few characters involved in the story and it took me a bit to get them figured out on who’s-who but once the characters are developed, it’s a good read into a fractured family and whodunnit. I’m not sure what book to pick next because they all sound so good!

What about you? Which of these new releases or soon-to-be releases interests you the most? I know it’s hard to pick, but share your thoughts in the blog comments below and you’ll be entered to win ALL 10 Advanced Reader Copies books from Simon + Schuster!
