Spring, Sunshine and a Good Book *bliss*

The sun is shining, birds chirping (I almost forgot what that sounded like) and I’m impatiently watching the snow melt off my deck and wondering how long it will be until I actually see grass in my backyard. My backyard is my absolute favorite place to be in the spring and summer months and I can’t wait to get out there again. The perfect morning for me consists of a spot in the sun on my deck, a warm cup of coffee beside me, and a good book in my hands. I. CAN’T. WAIT.

It’s like my friends at Simon & Schuster read my mind! They sent me a selection of 5 hot Spring titles that I can’t wait to devour! On our recent Mexico vacation, I read two other Simon & Schuster titles that I shared on Instagram and highly recommend both! I was absolutely engaged by both author’s storytelling.

While I can’t always have a beach by the ocean or a poolside spot, my backyard deck is a pretty happy place for me, so I can’t wait to get out there to devour these 5 reads:

Fatal Inheritance – Rachel Rhys
Get swept away to the enchanting South of France with this “exquisite and shimmering” (Lisa Jewell, New York Times bestselling author of Then She Was Gone) suspenseful historical novel, where perilous secrets lurk under the glitz and glam of seaside wealth. She didn’t have an enemy in the world…until she inherited a fortune.

The Last House Guest – Megan Miranda
From the acclaimed New York Times bestselling author of All the Missing Girls, a suspenseful new novel about an idyllic town in Maine dealing with the suspicious death of one of their own—and her best “summer” friend, who is trying to uncover the truth…before fingers point her way.

I loved All the Missing Girls, so I can’t wait to read Megan Miranda’s latest!

Her One Mistake – Heidi Perks
What should have been a fun-filled, carefree day takes a tragic turn for the worse for one mother when her best friend’s child goes missing in this suspenseful, compulsively readable, and darkly twisted psychological thriller. It all started at the school fair…

The Daughter’s Tale: A Novel – Armando Lucas Correa
The internationally bestselling author of The German Girl delivers an unforgettable family saga of love and redemption during World War II, based on the true story of the Nazi massacre of a French village in 1944.

The Island of Sea Women: A Novel – Lisa See
A new novel from Lisa See, the New York Times bestselling author of The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, about female friendship and family secrets on a small Korean island.
