Show Dogs in Theaters May 18 {WIN Your Tickets Here!}

If you haven’t seen the commercials for this fun family comedy yet, here’s a peek at what’s coming to theaters May 18th! My girls are SUPER EXCITED to see this movie and I have to admit, as a dog-mom myself and wife of a police officer, I’m looking forward to it too:

SHOW DOGS stars a charming and lovable cast of talking canine characters, including our hero Max (voiced by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges), a rugged Rottweiler NYPD police dog who plays by his own rules. Max and his human FBI partner (Will Arnett) are investigating the kidnapping of a baby panda by an underground network of illegal animal traders when they get a tip that the crime ring is planning to sell the panda at the prestigious Canini Invitational Dog Show.

The uber-macho Max must undergo a makeover, with the help of a seasoned trainer (Natasha Lyonne), to go undercover and thwart the evil plot. In the hands of his new human handler Frank, Max gets in touch with his inner show dog, and learns that trusting the help of others can sometimes be more rewarding than working alone..

Watch as these two alpha dogs find themselves strangers in a land of doggie pedicures and Botox, diamond-encrusted collars and gold plated fire hydrants.

I’m so happy to share some passes to SHOW DOGS for my readers! I’ve got FIVE SHOW DOGS  FAMILY PRIZE PACKAGES (2x Admit 2 Passes, SHOW DOGS Frisbees + Activity Sheets) to give away to readers! The passes are ROE (Run Of Engagement) passes meaning you can use them anywhere in Canada while the movie is in theaters! To enter, simply fill in your name and email address below and click BEGIN! Then simply leave a comment sharing something about a lovable pooch in your life.

  • loves growing up with animals in the house. Love that my children can grow up with the same experience of loving and caring for someone other than themselves.

  • During my teens, we had the most amazing dog in the world. He was so gentle and fun that neighbourhood kids used to come call for him, asking if they could play with him in the yard. Now we have our lovely little lady, Layla. She’s very particular and has us all wrapped around her little paw!

  • When i was a kid I had the BEST dog named sparkey. I remember playing catch with him and nightly cuddles. He was my best friend for many years.

  • Growing up we had many dogs but one that I remember fondly was named Corky – he would always try nip your hands and at your ankles – I always told people that he did it to that he was tasting them 😀

  • I have a very lovable Havanese dog presently and before that a Shetland Sheep dog who was also lovely,

  • I myself don’t have a dog, though relish in the company of a condo-dog “Charlotte” who flops around the halls of the condo building with joy and magnanimity!

  • My Beau bear is a star! He’s the biggest baby and best cuddler, though he weighs 80lbs and thinks he’s a small dog.

  • We had a beagle called Maggie that we all loved. We got her as a pup. She was full of mischief and liked to run away if we were not fast enough to get a leash on her.

  • When I was a child we had a blue heeler named Kelly. He was my protector. I would read books to him too, he was my best friend!

  • We have an adorable black pug named Dexter that we rescued from the local shelter 3 years ago. He has become my fifth baby – he sleeps on top of me and follows me everywhere I go :).

  • My daughter is obsessed with dogs these days. I have allergies so she ‘adopts’ all the dogs in the neighbourhood. Right now her fave is ‘Jet’ b/c she loves to throw balls for him to catch.

  • When I was a kid, my grandma had a really great doggy. I remembered that when I was sleeping, he would watch me from the bedroom door and when I woke up, he’s the first to run to the adults to let them know.

  • I had an adorable black lab mix and she was the sweetest, most well trained dog. Never needed to put a leash on her.

  • We had a dog when my daughter was very young and before my son was born, yet they still talk about Ryder and how much they love and miss him! They would love the opportunity to see this show!

  • My favourite memory is coming home from school to find a new puppy had joined the our family! 🙂 it was very exciting. Thanks!

  • We adopted a rescue puppy back in January and she’s the most lovable and smart dog! She’s a shih tzu mix and is so cuddly! She brought so much laughter into our family.

  • Our family dog Agnia is amazing. An endless bundle of love, energy and protection. She makes sure we get outside everyday and she absolutely loves the winter

  • My favourite pet is probably our big suck of a mixed breed rescue. He is all legs and just wants to be able to get outside, but I dare you to come after our daughter as he’d probably lay on top of her before you could get anywhere close to her.
