Sparkling Fruit Sangria

Continuing on my quest to find the best sangria of summer, we tested another sangria recipe on the deck last weekend. This one is like a pumped-up mimosa, and packs a pretty good kick so be warned (or be excited, as the case may be!)

Prep the sangria ahead of time with everything but the champagne to let the flavors meld together, then add the champagne to top off each glass.

Sparkling Fruit Sangria

Ingredients
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 10 large strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 750ml bottle sweet white wine
  • 1 750ml bottle champagne
  • ¼ cup brandy

Instructions
  1. Place all fruit and orange juice in a large pitcher or bowl, add wine and brandy and allow to sit in the refrigerator for 3 – 24 hours. Add champagne when serving to top off each glass.

Notes
You can also add other fruit like orange, lemon or lime slices – that’s the beauty of sangria, you can add whatever you have on hand!

Freeze blueberries and raspberries ahead of time to add to the sangria in addition to ice to keep it nice and cool on the deck this summer.
