ABC’s Revenge and Once Upon a Time on DVD

Two of the hottest new shows on TV are coming to DVD this month!  Both just happen to be on ABC and the network should be proud of the programming they brought forward this past year!

Revenge Synopsis:
Almost twenty years ago, Hamptons’ wealthiest elite destroyed a young girl’s life. Relive Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) quest for revenge and uncover every deep, dark secret. The complete first season includes exclusive bonus features including an in-world sit- down interview with the infamous Nolan Ross in “Nolan Ross: Exposed,” “Roadmap to Revenge,” “At Home In ‘The Hamptons'”, bloopers, deleted scenes and much, much more!

Once Upon a Time Synopsis:
The Evil Queen has cast an evil spell on an enchanted forest filled with fairytale characters. The curse trapped these characters in a place where all their happy endings were stolen – our world. Now the Evil Queen is acting as town mayor, and all of the inhabitants of the fairytale world of Storybrooke can’t seem to remember any details of their past lives. As the truth starts to unfold, the battle between good and evil begins. Bonus materials include “Welcome To Storybrooke,” a feature that takes you on a tour of the town that was the inspiration for the show, deleted scenes, audio commentaries, bloopers, and much, much more!

While I’ve only seen the first episode of Revenge, I am kicking myself for not paying more attention to it because it’s received rave reviews and now I have some serious catching up to do before the second season starts.  Revenge is available on DVD as of August 21st, time to pick it up and catch up!

I am so glad, however, that I watched the first episode of Once Upon a Time because I was hooked immediately and couldn’t wait to see it each week!  The storyline is captivating and it’s fun to watch the story unfold and guess who each new character “really” is.

The writers have done a stellar job with Season One and I can’t wait to find out what happens in Season Two.  I also happen to be a huge fan of Ginnifer Goodwin (check out my brush with her at the Cars Land premiere here!) and think she brings so much to this show.  I can’t say enough good things about Once Upon a Time!  If you haven’t watched it yet, find it on reruns now or pick up the Blu-ray or DVD on August 28th!

  • I watched both shows religiously this season – and they’re both so good! I think OUAT is the one I’d most like to do a rewatch of, however, I just know there’s things I missed (like Lost, LOL.)

Robert Carlyle is just incredible as Rumplestiltskin/Mr Gold and I think he was the most interesting character on Stargate Universe!!!
