Cars Land Grand Opening Celebration!

Cars Land is opening at California Adventure Park in Disneyland on Friday June 15th and our family has been invited to attend and celebrate the grand opening of this 12 acre park!!

Fans of Cars will be blown away by the replica of Radiator Springs complete with places to visit like Flo’s v8 Cafe, Fillmore’s Taste In, and rides like Luigi’s Flying Tires, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and the one I’m looking forward to the most, Radiator Springs Racers!!

Here’s an awesome video showing the development of Cars Land (and it gives you a better look at Radiator Springs Racers!!):

There’s been a ton of media buzz happening surrounding the grand opening, and Ellen’s favorite guests, Rosie and Sophia Grace were given passes to check it out just last week too! Check out the video below. My kids didn’t know about OUR trip yet when they saw this and were so jealous of Rosie and Sophia Grace (they sure look like they had a blast!)

You can see why I’m so excited. I waited almost a full month to tell the kids (truthfully I didn’t want 6 weeks of questions and “when are we gooooooing?”) but told them just yesterday! We received the following invitation in the mail as well so I showed them that first.

And here are some stills from the video we took telling the kids!  You can see Elijah (8) reading the invitation and then the reaction that follows.  Priceless.

We will be at Disneyland from June 11th to June 16th and of course all over Cars Land on the grand opening day of Friday June 15th!  I can’t wait to share our adventures with you all and of course detail our time at Cars Land so you can help plan YOUR next family vacation taking in this awesome new theme park at California Adventure!

Want to hear the best part?  Elijah’s 8th birthday is on June 16th!  Talk about an awesome birthday week, topped off with waking up at Disneyland on your 8th birthday complete with a character breakfast that I’ve booked!

Feeling like mom of the year right now?  You bet.

Apprehension for my husband and I spending 6 days at Disneyland with an 8 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old?  For sure!  But this is the stuff memories are made of…
