Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken
- 4 Chicken Breasts
- salt and pepper
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup diced onion
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- chopped green onions (optional)
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker.
- Mix the honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 4 hours, or high for 2 hours.
- Remove chicken from slow cooker, leaving the sauce behind.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in ⅓ cup of water, and pour into slow cooker. Cook the sauce for 10 minutes so it can thicken.
- As the sauce cooks, slice the chicken.
- Return the chicken to the pot and coat with sauce.
- Serve chicken over rice.
- Sprinkle chicken with sesame seeds and green onion.
