This Winter, Ditch The Itch With Gold Bond

Recently, our family escaped the bitter wind chills of Saskatchewan to the sunny skies of California on a family holiday. Along with a renewed spirit after recharging in the sun I noticed something else. My oldest daughter, who has been plagued with red, itchy eczema since the fall, suddenly had happy, clear skin! No doubt the warmer weather and sunshine contributed to helping her eczema, though unfortunately not everyone is so lucky (for some, heat can make things worse!) We took advantage of it and she enjoyed a respite from it. That is, until we returned home to Saskatchewan.

Not two days later, she was complaining about her two problematic eczema spots – an itchy path on legs and most bothersome to her, on her face in the creases of her nose. Ready to apply the usual lotion we had been using all fall to combat the eczema, I remembered that I had received Gold Bond Ultimate Eczema Relief. This lotion means business! Packed with 7 moisturizers and 3 vitamins, this Skin Protectant Cream and Lotion contain a clinical formula that helps relieve 5 symptoms of eczema: itch, dryness, rashes, roughness and irritation. It also includes 2x the colloidal oatmeal than other over the counter eczema lotions on the market.

When thinking about percentages and eczema cream, you may be confused thinking it contains a steroid. That’s the great news here too! Both products are steroid free, dermatologist tested, fragrance free, and hypoallergenic.

We’ve been using this product exclusively for the past week to combat my daughter’s dry eczema-prone skin and the results are showing. After just two days, the red area besides her nose is lighter and the eczema itch has stopped. Of course, half the battle with kids is ensuring they’re actually using the product (we try 2x/day) so ensure you keep it in a common area of the household for easy reminders.

This winter, look for Gold Bond Ultimate Eczema Relief Skin Protectant cream at most major drugstores across Canada. The cream retails for $13.99 and the lotion retails for $18.99 – well worth the relief!
