Photo Gifts From Staples For Christmas Gifting

I have clear instructions from my mom, new family photos are needed – in specific sizes – for her frames this year. While many of us rarely print photos to begin with, there are certain people who love having your smiling faces looking back at them all year round and it’s important to ensure we get those requests taken care of for the holidays!

Beyond photo printing, Staples has an awesome amount of photo gifts available online for you to order at your leisure (I prefer in my pajamas with a coffee) and then pick up in store or ship directly to someone else saving you another step. Order by December 10th to receive before Christmas!

If you’re looking for a gift for your hubby or wife, grandparents, best friends and more, here are some great photo gift ideas:

Featuring professional-grade canvas stretched over wooden bars and archival-quality inks, Premium Canvas Prints take a photo of your adorable kids (or your best friend’s, think about how amazing this would be as a gift for her!) or perhaps a lovely sunset from your last vacation, and create a custom canvas for your walls. It comes ready to hang with hinged hardware or you can use the option for easel stand on 5″ x 7″ and 8″ x 10″ sizes,

Holiday ornaments are special because every year when we pull them out, they’re attached to memories from Christmas past. I have two holiday ornaments saved from my childhood Christmas tree which mean so much to me. I also have a photo ornament similar to these Ornaments from Staples that has a family photo on it from 2011 and I just adore it. Ornaments are 30% off right now until Dec 15th and available in a variety of shapes.

Other Photo Gifts on sale until December 15th include puzzles (I ordered one!) which make super fun gifts for kids, playing cards (think of your mother-in-law’s love of solitaire or bridge), and of course photo mugs (I also ordered a mug for my hubby to use at work.)

Did you know Staples even has Photo Blankets for Christmas gift giving? And yes, I ordered one! Fleece blankets are just $41.30, can be ordered online here, and are available for store pick up in 7-10 business days!

While I wait for my photo gift orders from Staples to arrive in store for pick up, I’m happily writing on my yearly Christmas cards that I send out. Many photo holiday cards are available with a same day pick-up time (you’ll be able to note which ones when you create your cards.) No sneak peeks of our recent family photos, but you can see the beautiful design I picked here!

Head over to Staples.ca to begin your order and in no time at all you’ll have beautiful photo gifts in your hands ready to wrap, or cards ready to mail out. Send me one, I decorate a door with them all!

Do you send out Christmas cards or create photo gifts for Christmas gift giving?

  • We ( and by we I mean me, my husband just shows up for the photo πŸ˜‚) usually get our yearly Christmas photo in October, get them printed in November, buy massive amounts of Costco Christmas card packs and then hand write in them. This year though I created a photo Christmas card so it’s one less thing I have to do.

  • Great ideas! Photo gifts are always given to friends and family around here. This year we have a puzzle, some calendars and more being given πŸ™‚

  • I had a friend tell me about this yesterday – she found the staples site easy to use and it told her when a photo was not of great blow up quality.

  • I used to do Christmas cards but I find it gets harder as I get busier to find time. I normally do photo calendars every few years for extended family though.

  • I always incorporate photos into our Christmas giving! I have often made photo Christmas cards, and have also ordered custom return labels from Staples for the past several years for all our holiday mail!

  • Photo gifts are so nice to give to grandparents, I love the mugs and the blanket!! I would love to get a blanket with all my grandchildren on it!!

  • I don’t create photo gifts (yet) but do hand make Christmas cards and put a lot of thought into the inscription!

  • I do send out Christmas cards but not with photos of me on them. Maybe of my cats! Lol! I have gifted a photo calendar to my grandma in the past with pictures of all her grand-kids and great-grandkids.

  • I do have a few Christmas cards at home, that I’ve had for about three years. I don’t send out cards any more. I send DM on Facebook, or send text messages now.

  • I do a lot per email since it would otherwise cost me a fortune considering the price to Europe. I will be sending some cards this year to my children and grandchildren, some relatives and friends too, all of which are in Europe.

  • I like to do a craft using a B&W photo. I transfer it to a piece wood using mod glue. It looks amazing once done.

  • I normally take a family photo and send out cards, but I didn’t this year… I’ve been thinking about a photo book or a calendar fort he grandparents, though!

  • I love Staples and all they offer there. Last year I got a key holder for my son and it has his picture in it. He really loved it. I got him other things too but the key holder was what he loved most. I didn’t know about the Photo Blankets. I must look into that.

  • sorry I forgot to answer the question. I send out a few cards now but never thought of photo prints. Another thing I will have to remember.

  • We do still send out cards – I love getting them too. I have a bunch of online friends around the world and it’s so much fun to see the photo cards and how the kids are growing.

  • I haven’t sent out Christmas cards in years. But that’s changed this year. I bought some and will be sitting at the table today and prepping them for the mail.

Photo gifts are always lovely, I find those to be extremely personal, for close family they are great but for ppl I’m not real familiar with, a gift certificate to that kind of gift is perfect.

  • I send Christmas cards with a newsletter to friends that I don’t see very often and sometimes add a family photo if I have a recent one.

  • When my kids were very little we used to do a family photo card to send out but then we just got to busy and other things got in the way. I don’t send out cards now.

  • When I was pulling out my wrapping paper I found 2 packages of Christmas cards. The only problem is, I’ve never sent a Christmas card in my life. So I figured I bought them on Boxing Day when I had savings fever and thought look how cheap I have to have them but now I’ve got 2 boxes of Christmas cards, anyone need them ! lol

  • I will occasionally send out Christmas cards but I’ve never made photo gifts to give as Christmas gifts. I absolutely love the idea though – I love all the different kinds of gifts you could make!

  • I don’t do Christmas Cards anymore, I do emails instead. But yes I do often get photo gifts done up for giving to family. Doing a couple mugs this year.

  • We haven’t done holiday family photos in years. I am thinking that it would be fun to resurrect that tradition this year!

  • Well I always look for something special for Christmas – Thanks I will be ordering a photo blanket. My son attended a photography camp and has exceptional talent. I had planned to download his special photos and then putting them in an album – Now you gave me the ultimate idea, thanks.

  • We do send out Christmas cards. I really like the personalized photo gifts and have received a few of them.

  • I didn’t know that Staples did photo gifts. I usually end up ordering from Shutterfly, but it’s expensive and shipping can take a while. I’m going to check this out for sure!

  • We send Christmas cards via postal mail but, next year I’ll definitely option for the Staples SNOWFLAKE ORNAMENT; aluminum coated treasure.

  • Photo gifts are a great idea for my in laws that live across the country. My mother in law appreciates the calendar we had made and other photos we sent her. I also like how easy it is and cool that Staples offers ornaments too!

  • Every year I want to get family Christmas pictures done to send out, but every year it never gets done. A couple years ago, we did photo gifts. We did a tree ornament with a picture in it

  • Hi Tenille, we are thinking of the custom print blanket as a gift. The product specs say it is 30×40 …is that in inches? Is it the size of a baby blanket or small throw?
