Gifts From VTech Baby

By Brittany Caffet

Elizabeth is now a lively 2 and a half month old! She is becoming more and more interactive each and every day, which means she is becoming increasingly harder to entertain. Gone are the days when sitting in her Mamaroo and listening to me sing “Baby Beluga” was enough to keep her content. This little girl loves to play! When it comes to selecting toys for Elizabeth, I want to ensure that they will allow her to learn while she is having fun! One company that I can always count on to provide my family with great learning toys is VTech!

The Lil’ Critters Shake & Wobble Busy Ball is already becoming one of Elizabeth’s favourite toys! To activate the lights and sounds you simply flip a switch and choose from one of two volume settings (I absolutely love the fact that there is a quiet setting!), then let your little one play away! With the push of one of the big, colourful buttons, baby can hear a number of familiar songs such as “Yankee Doodle” and “Three Blind Mice” as well as phrases about numbers, colours and animals. Shaking the ball also activates the sounds, a feature that is perfect for little ones who aren’t quite big enough to push buttons yet! There are a variety of pieces on the bead tracks for your little one to play with, including an adorable cow and the cutest little chick! The music, sounds and lights keep Elizabeth happy and entertained while she practices her hand-eye coordination!

Another great learning toy option from VTech are the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Press & Race Fire Truck and Race Car. When your little one presses on the top of the car… ZOOM! They take off, making fun sounds as they go! Press the light up button to hear sing along songs and learn letters of the alphabet. Be warned – these cars are loud; but in my mind the noise is totally worth the fun that is just waiting to be had! Both the race car and fire truck respond to SmartPoint locations on Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets and Go! Go! Smart Animals tracks, but the tracks are not necessary to enjoy these toys. I can’t wait until Elizabeth is old enough run after these cars as they zoom around our house!

VTech toys help your baby develop basic but extremely important skills. Making the choice to bring these toys into your home can make a big difference in your baby’s cognitive and sensory development, motor skills, language development and hand-eye coordination. We will definitely be asking Santa to bring Elizabeth more VTech toys for Christmas this year!
