A Family of Nerf

By Lise Merle

We are a family of Nerf.
Correction: My husband, 15 year old daughter, and 6, 4 and 2.5 year old sons are a Family of Nerf, while my 2.5 year old daughter and I just try not to get caught in the line of fire.
Which happens every. Single. Day.
Yesterday, Dash positioned himself belly down on the floor and waited for several minutes with his eye on the staircase, fingers on the trigger, for his brothers to come around the corner.
It’s getting to the point where we’re starting to think about permanent Nerf storage at our house. Add THAT to the list of things I never thought I’d say.
Check out this Pinterest find:
So of course Nerf is top of list for Christmas wish list items, and of course, Hasbro didn’t disappoint.
With dozens of Nerf products to choose from, we went with the Nerf Modulus Regulator. And what I mean is: MY HUSBAND CLEARLY CHOSE THE NERF MODULUS REGULATOR.
And I know this because I said “what Nerf would be good for our kids aged 6 and under?โ€œ and he picked the one for ages 8+. That has 3 firing modes. Continuous fire. An accelerator button. An empty clip indicator light. 2 barrel scopes.

From Walmart.ca: Kids can build their blaster for any mission or battle with the fully motorized Nerf Regulator blaster! With SwitchFire Technology, choose 1 of 3 firing modes; flip the switch to choose single-fire to fire 1 dart per trigger pull; select burst-fire to blast several darts per trigger pull; and switch to continuous-fire to continuously fire the darts. Load darts into both 12-dart clips, insert 1 into the blaster and store the other 1 in the storage stock. Power up the motor by holding down the acceleration button, and then let the darts fly! The indicator light blinks to let battlers know the clip is empty. Customize the blaster with the swivel handle to stabilize shots and the 2 barrel-scopes that can be used as barrel extensions or targeting scopes. Expand the customizing options with Nerf Modulus accessories and upgrade kits (each sold separately). With the full Nerf Modulus system, create over 1000 different combinations!

The Nerf Modulus Regulator is a SERIOUS Nerf. And your “kids” aka “full grown man child can have one, too this Christmas. Pricing info: Walmart.ca ($49.86), ToysRUs.ca ($49.95) and Amazon.ca ($49.86).
