We are storm stayed.
After a few -glorious- days in February, where we thought for sure we were on our way to spring, March reared it’s lion’s head and knocked the prairies to our knees with a winter storm that reminded us who’s boss.
The weather. The weather is the boss.
And my kids? WANT TO BE OUTSIDE.
Thankfully, a box full of Tonka Tinys showed up and I we very quickly discovered that Tonka Tinys are the best way to pretend you’re playing outside, when you can’t actually be outside.
Each set consists of one Tiny Tonka Truck as well as a super easy to assemble shrunk down small playset complete with catapults, bridges, excavators and towers and miniature rocks, spools and construction equipment.
As I sit here typing watching them be TRANSFIXED – I’m already thinking ahead to our holidays this summer which is will include a full day of air travel. I’ll be sure to pack 4 new lightweight and portable Tonka Tinys for them to unbox and play with on the plane.
Tonka Tinys are collectible and super budget friendly (costing as little as $3.77 – $14.99) at national retailers including Walmart and Amazon.ca.
My Baba used to say to put grumpy babies in water and grumpy boys in the dirt and they won’t be grumpy for long. Tonka. They get it.
