Lights On, Volume Up! Pulse by Sengled

In October, I shared one of the funnest tech items we’ve received this year, and it turns out it’s not really all that techy – it’s a light bulb! But, it’s so much more. The Solo by Sengled is an LED lightbulb that enables the user to also use it as a speaker thanks to bluetooth technology! We shared a step-by-step tutorial on how you could make a singing (or spooky story-telling) pumpkin to surprise family and friends.

In addition to the Solo by Sengled, today I’m sharing something else from this innovative company – the Pulse. Pulse is a wireless sound system in an LED light bulb. You can sync up to 8 bulbs for whole-home sound! Uh huh. Consider that. Look at your living room or basement rec room, check out how many recessed (potlights)  you have, and consider the potential for rocking around the Christmas tree, my friends!

I love this idea – Sengled makes it easy to have the functionality, sound and style of built in speakers without the renovation/wiring expense! Other places perfect for the Sengled Pulse are the kitchen (lights above the sink, yay!), or even the kid’s playroom or nursery.

And about that audio. Pulse boasts 1.75″ Full-Range High-Fidelity JBL*Loudspeakers – 13 Watts (Max.) @ 8ohms / bulb. Yeah, I have no clue what that means either, but being the owner of a Solo bulb from Sengled, I know the sound is awesome! And the speakers in Pulse are even better! I plan on using our Solo bulb on the light outside our door on the deck this summer – perfection.

For people who don’t currently have a Pulse system, it is necessary to first purchase the Pulse Starter Kit ($169.99), which includes two Pulse bulbs. Afterwards, they can purchase additional satellite bulbs ($79.99 each) to increase the size of their system. More information about Pulse here.
