The seasons change year after year, and with it comes routine. In fall we start purchasing pumpkin-spice everything and prep our homes for the holidays. Yet, the Spring is all about renewal, refreshing, and yes cleaning. Have you noticed that? We don’t do a “winter” cleaning, but for whatever reason, the snow melts and we’re overcome with the need to clean all the things!
While we clean on the surface throughout the year, it’s the less common places that get the attention during a good spring cleaning. I’ve been giving the side-eye to my baseboards – they definitely need a wipe-down, and other places like behind the sofa, and yes even the entire fridge – they all need a cleaning this spring.
But how often do you clean things like your washing machine or dishwasher? I know, their purpose is to clean your stuff, but it seems reasonable to assume they’d collect some grime and gunk as well. To keep your appliances working efficiently, they should be cleaned regularly. Not surprisingly, only 25% of Canadians say they’ve cleaned their dishwashers in the last 12 months. At least I know I’m not alone.
We purchased a new dishwasher about a year ago, and I really should be taking care of our investment. So, when given the opportunity to check out affresh Dishwasher Cleaner, I was game.

Now if only I could find a tab to clean those baseboards.

I love to do a spring clean to get rid of all the winter grime that was brought in and to open the windows to air the house out, I would love to try the affresh, but sadly I have never owned a dishwasher, have always washed by hand, and let me tell ya holidays suck when it comes to dishes..lol

I just had a “new – to – me” dishwasher put in a few months back… I’ve never heard of the affresh Dishwasher Cleaner – sounds like a really good investment!
I clean my appliances often enough. It’s those windows that i can’t reach without a ladder that get me!
I give my washer a good cleaning bi-monthly and i dont have a dish washer

I am pretty good at cleaning all of the time. Unfortunately, my DH is not so clean. Working on training my three little boys to pick up after themselves so that their future wives thank me. 😉
cleaning the OVEN ughhh and i was my windows all the time . have to see clear 🙂
cleaning the dishwasher is important, often times we find things in the bottom that we missed when unloading. I will give this product a try
Love the Affresh cleaners for the dishwasher and washing machine, I usually use them every 3 months. Baseboards well those could use a cleaning.
I regularly rinse my dishwasher. I find it makes a difference.

I really like the results after using these tabs, but how come I didn’t know that I could run them with my dishes!?! I was always doing a separate cycle with just the tab. Silly me.

Never heard of affresh Dishwasher Cleaner……sounds like it works great!
It’s really easy to forget things like washing the sides of the dishwasher door, but it’s the first thing that jumps to the eyes if you’re not standing over it, loading it but a few steps away, as a guest would. Yukky! Thanks for the reminder to take a 2nd look while doing my cleaning 🙂
I have used Affresh and found it very effective.
I try to tackle one thing at a time otherwise it’s very overwelming

I can’t find the Refresh dishwasher cleaner. I use the front load washer one and love it. What store do you buy it at? I bought it in the past but I can remember where. I use finish but don’t like it has much!

I love Affresh products! They also make a great washing machine cleaner. I try to use both on a fairly regular basis. I use a small neon coloured sticky note on the calendar in the kitchen. When I have cleaned the dishwasher & washing machine, I move it to that day on the next month to remind me.
Well I don’t have a dishwasher but I do clean my washing machine about 3 times a year ,I use vinegar or cleaners and put it through the wash cycle . My clothes never feel clean enough unless I have kept the machine clean too.
I don’t have a dishwasher but as far as my washing machine I honestly have never cleaned it. This is a great idea though! And if there is a tab for cleaning & organizing my entire basement please send me one!

I am a big fan of a massive spring clean so much dust and items collect over the winter . This year I am dreading the clean though lol

I cloth diaper so washing machine gets cleaned once a month 🙂 Our dishwasher not as often though.. lol
