Play-Doh Crazy Cuts – Taking Us All Way Back!

By Tara Richter

If you’re looking for a great gift idea for a child on your list, you can never go wrong with Play-Doh! This is really one of those ‘toys’ that is timeless. The main reason I love Play-Doh so much for kids is that it’s not a video game, doesn’t have flashing lights or any sort of sounds. It requires a bit of dexterity and a whole lot of imagination. It is also a great boredom buster, and its super portable. I’ve taken Play-Doh on road-trips, to hotels, and even camping!

I remember (way back when) being a little kid and spending hours with my brothers at the kitchen table making all sorts of Play-Doh shapes and creations. One of my favorite Play-Doh sets as a kid was the barber shop set. It had little plastic hollow people and a barber’s chair. When a Play-Doh filled person was placed on top and the chair-crank turned, it pushed out the Play-Doh through the holes on the top revealing all sorts of crazy “hair”. Then we’d cut and shape the hair into various styles. It’s amazing to me that my mom still has that original Play-Doh set. It has survived hours upon hours of play from all four of her children and, so-far, four grandchildren. The best part to see, is that all the grandkids love playing Play-Doh as much as I did when I was a kid!

Play Doh Crazy CutsThis year you can get your own timeless Play-Doh set with the Crazy Cuts set. It comes complete with 6 containers PlayDoh in various colours. Just like from my childhood, this set also includes the chair with crank-turned pump, a shaver, scissors, hair-style shaper and three Play-Doh figures. It is a sure winner as a Christmas present this year, and likely one that will endure the test of time too! If you need a stocking-stuffer idea for kids, individual Play-Doh make for a great addition. With the amount of play that will happen with the Crazy Cuts set, a few extra containers are never a bad idea!

Look for the Play-Doh Crazy Cuts set at Amazon.ca online or wherever Play Doh products are sold.
