U-Snap Studios: Making Family Photography Easy in Regina

U-Snap Studios in Regina will change the way you take photos. That’s the tagline at the top of their website, and that’s putting it mildly. If you, like me, have been in a situation where you want to take family pictures with the kids outdoors but it’s cold enough to see your breath and your nose keeps running or, you want to take some great photos with your friends or family members in town but the idea of going to a department store studio seems all kinds of awkward, then this is the perfect solution for you!

U-Snap puts you in control of your photos because you’re (or someone you bring along) the photographer! With 6 photo studios in one building, along with a countless number of backgrounds and props (which they’re always updating), you’ve got unlimited potential to create perfect photos without any stress.

We visited U-Snap Studios recently with the best of both worlds. Since we wanted family photos of all of us, we brought along a professional photographer and then snapped our own photos on our iPhones. Having a studio to ourselves made such a difference in the stress level (admit it, having everyone posing and smiling and not goofing around can get a little irritating!) The kids happily played with the props and dad snapped photos while our photographer Michelle took pictures of each of the kids alone, or us as a couple.

When you’re done taking as many photos as your heart desires in your one-hour (or more) session, that’s it! The photos are all yours to do whatever you want with! Create Christmas cards (my plan!), print at home, upload to a photo developer or create online scrapbooks, the possibilities are endless.

Of course, U-Snap studios can be used for more than just family/group photos. Home businesses can book time to take professional looking photos of their products, photography students can sharpen their skills in a professional environment, even food photography is an option at U-Snap.  Pets are even welcome!

Just need a few minutes in the studio with proper lighting to take a photo of a product or new head shot? U-Snap books by the hour OR you can even book as little as 15 minutes at a time.

Our experience at U-Snap Studios was a great one with courteous staff, tons of backgrounds and ideas, and as mentioned before (but needs mentioning again) a low-stress environment with kids. We’ll definitely be back! In the meantime, I’ll flip through my iPhone photos (seen above) while waiting for our photographer’s photos of the whole family. Oh, and my Twitter profile pic? Yup, that’s U-Snap!
