Traveling This Summer? TreehouseGo!

In the last few days of school, the conversation among moms inevitably turns to, “are you going anywhere this summer?” We’re part jealous, part hopeful they’re not so we have some mommy-refuge, and part curious because we want to travel as well. Moms exchange the best tips on hotels over the border, theme park activities, and pit-stops along the way on a road trip.

Here’s a tip I’m happy to share with you today, ahead of your summer travels: TreehouseGo!

Treehouse Go

Designed for kids ages 2-6, TreehouseGo is a downloadable app for mobile devices and tablets. Bright, colorful and playful, the TreehouseGo app is easy for kids to navigate and gives them on-the-go access in the same fun, safe and trusted Treehouse environment that parents know and love.

“Knowing that families want the flexibility of being able to watch their favourite entertainment on the go, we’re excited to begin rolling out a full suite of our kids television brands specially optimized for mobile devices,” said Colin Bohm, Vice President, Television, Head of Corus Kids. “Parents and kids will love the entertaining and portable TreehouseGO experience that mirrors the full, rich environment of Canada’s #1 television brand for young kids.”

The app is free to download for Treehouse TV subscribers (have Treehouse TV at home? That’s you!) and it’s super easy to set up. Download the TreehouseGO app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Follow the prompts to enter your email (swipe left to see that page), select your television service provider and enter your credentials. You have now registered TreehouseGO on your device and are ready to start enjoying your favourite Treehouse shows!

One feature that I really like on the TreehouseGo app,  especially helpful for road trips, is the Backpack feature. This enables you to download full-length episodes when you have a wireless connection, to watch later on the app when you don’t! Super, right? Note that the downloaded episodes only stay in the app for 72 hours, which is actually awesome for saving space (have you noticed your PVR is full? Yeah, I blame my kids!)

You can also use the Live Stream option (with a wireless or data connection) to watch Treehouse TV live, so mom can still catch her favorite shows while the kids don’t miss theirs.

The TreehouseGo app will be continually updated with the most popular and current Treehouse series such as Dora and Friends, Little Charmers, Octonauts, Toopy & Binoo, Bubble Guppies and Mike the Knight. Visit http://www.treehousetv.com/treehouseGO for more information.
