Just announced this week, Blue Ant Media is sharing their new premium nature and wildlife channel Love Nature! Launching with a national free preview to over 6 million homes in Canada, Love Nature shares the globe’s animals and landscapes in a commercial free family-friendly format.
The show’s website LoveNature.com shares all the details on programming – Love Nature will showcase exclusive series from around the globe and will feature content shot in the highest quality imaginable and highlight the wonder and beauty of nature. While reading through the programming available, here’s a show that stood out to me:
Zoo Juniors
Based in Berlin, this family series discovers what it takes to be a zoo baby in a modern zoo. From regular weight checks to inoculations and first trips outside, Zoo Juniors experiences all these firsts and many more as we observe the animals in Berlin in their first days of life through to animal toddlerdom. You’ll learn why panthers and a snow leopard can share a cage when they’re young; why tapirs should enjoy bathing, and why elephants understand English and Indian, but no other languages.
As a mom, I appreciate that this channel highlights the beauty and wonder of nature in a family-friendly format without the gore and scary scenes. All cute, no scary. That works for me!

Viewing without the gore is important at young ages and if you are just not in the mood for reality. I read once about how many of the old nature shows were filmed – so abusive to the animals. I want child friendly and ethical.
