Resolve Tip Exchange!

resolve tip exchange

I was going to preface this post by saying that it’s back to school time so that means more laundry, more stains, and more “where the heck did that come from?” questions when looking at your children’s stain-covered clothing, but let’s be honest here.  Kids are dirty all year round and manage to stain their clothes 365 days of the year.  Back to school makes no difference.  The landscape changes, so perhaps the stains do to, but this is a daily battle, moms.

Resolve has created their own Resolve Tip Exchange site to provide parents everywhere with the necessary tools and laundry-room-secrets to help tackle stains.  You know how it is, you can read a bottle and determine what may work for removing a stain, but moms know.  They just know how to remove certain stains!  This site enables you to share your tips and in doing so, be entered to win one of 12 weekly prizes of $250 or the grand prize of $5000!

Each tip you provide gives you the chance to win and you can enter once per week!

I just shared my grass stain removing tip – not that it’s rocket science but I find that spraying a stain remover product like Resolve on the stain while it’s still fresh makes all the difference (so, in my case, most likely after school when I discover the grass stain when my kids walk in the door!)  Then, make sure to rub the product into the fabric by rubbing the fabric together in your hands.  I find this helps get the stain remover into the fibers.

Check out the Resolve Tip Exchange site and put on your thinking cap to share your stain removal tips by clicking this link!  You could win big – shouldn’t we get some sort of reward for the stuff we see in that laundry hamper??

Disclosure: I am part of the Resolve® Tip Exchange Blogger Campaign with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

  • I had heard that to remove berry juice stains you should use boiling water, which I doubted. Turns out it works! My son had a white shirt with berry stains all down the front. I spread the stained part over a bowl and poured boiling water over and voila – stains gone! Of course I followed up with stain remover, just to ensure it was all gone.

    • Pauline – I got fresh blueberry juice all over my apron just last week and tried this technique adding some white distiller vinegar to the boiling water. I couldn’t believe how the stain disappeared instantly.

  • I tried every stain remover on the market to remove stubborn stains on my baby’s clothes. Orange colored baby food was the worst culprit. I finally tried soaking them in hot water and scrubbing with two parts hydrogen peroxide and one part Dawn dish soap. For extra stubborn stains or dingy clothes i add a little baking soda to the mix. Amazing results even on old stains. This is now my go to stain remover for both whites and colored clothing.

  • Getting pine tar or sap off of my hands can be the worst feeling ever. Soap doesn’t work, hot water, cold water, hand cleaner, nothing works. I had heard about using WD40 to clean oil and grease off your hands, like a commercial hand cleaner would, so I tried it. Works Awesome! Took the “stick” off my hands in a heartbeat. Why wouldn’t this work for clothes? It’s not like WD40 stains clothes, but I’m sure it’s not safe for all fabrics.
