My 5 Fave “Call Me!” Songs (and a VTech Phone Giveaway!)

Valentine’s day is certainly the theme this month and radio stations and music apps have playlists galore filled with love songs (and some anti-love songs too!)  When VTech checked in to see if I’d be interested in checking out a gorgeous red Retro Phone in the spirit of Valentines day, I couldn’t help but start humming a corny 80’s song.  Then I realized, wow there are a lot of songs about connecting via the phone.  I wonder if this is something we’re going to see fade away with the influx of social media.  Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe tells us no, but I’m not so sure.

And so, here are my 5 favorite “Call me!” songs….you can thank me for the earworm when it’s stuck in your head later.

VTech retro phoneI went retro with the last two songs – seriously, can’t you just hear Milli Vanilli now?! The VTech red Retro Phone makes retro even more cool than it already is with this fab phone perfect for displaying anywhere in the house and making people do a double-take when they see it.

Features include:

– Last 10 number redial
– Caller ID/Call Waiting (stores up to 50 calls)
– Digital answering system with 14 minutes of recording time
– DECT 6.0 Digital technology (superior voice and sound quality and higher protection against eavesdropping than 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz phone systems)

All the features are listed here on the VTEch site, but on looks alone this phone had me sold!  Because it’s a VTech phone you know that quality just comes with it standard.

My son actually thought this was an old rotary phone when he saw the box and proclaimed that he didn’t know how to use it, which was funny.  No matter though, because this phone now belongs in my office, away from sticky hands anyway.
