Disney•Pixar BRAVE DVD/Blu-ray

An original and thrilling journey set in the ancient and magical Highlands of Scotland, “Brave” follows the heroic journey of the headstrong, young adventurer Merida. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida confronts tradition and defies an age-old custom that inadvertently unleashes chaos, and forces her to discover the true meaning of bravery.

We missed Brave in theaters this summer but we didn’t miss the excitement about this release, and my kids knew who Merida was when we visited Disneyland and couldn’t wait to have their photo taken with her!  I, personally LOVE this newest Disney princess because she is most definitely a modern girl (even though the movie doesn’t take place in modern times, ironically.)

We watched this movie as a family last weekend (love our family movie nights!) and each of us enjoyed it!  The movie impacted this mommy more than expected and I was the only one in the room sniffling at the end (ok, sobbing) because of the beautiful message the movie sends.

All mommies can be a bit of a bear from time to time, but love shines through.
