Painting Pumpkins

Inspired my Pinterest, I decided to decorate my very own pumpkins this year!  While my kids enjoyed the gooey insides of a pumpkin doing a traditional carving, I decided to paint mine!

Step 1:  Spray paint pumpkin to get a nice bright base, I picked yellow.

Step 2 :  Prop the pumpkin on a stand to speed drying and avoid a pool of paint along the bottom.  I used an old bowl.

Step 3:  Using acrylic paints (I found mine at Dollerama), drip the paints along the stem and top of the pumpkin.  I tried some glitter paint as well but it was far too thick and didn’t drip as well, so next time I’ll stick to the basics!
