When you think of Skechers, what do you think of? For me, it’s always been about the running shoes (or sneakers as my American friends call them!) This past year, we’ve become a bit of a Skechers family. Earlier this spring my husband and I did a review of Skechers Shape Ups (I wore them out for walks trying to get the baby to hurry up and get here) and this fall the kids checked out Skechers Hot Lights and Twinkle Toes running shoes.
With cold weather settling in, those running shoes have been pushed to the back of the closet, but that doesn’t mean that Skechers has been. I had no idea Skechers had fabulous boots for the winter! When I checked out the selection online, I had several favorites right away! The boots in the photo above, from left to right, are Struts, Lunacy and Keepsakes. These are my favorites, but there’s so many other great styles to choose from including Skechers Tone Ups! Yeah that’s right, you can still tone up your tushie while out in the snow!
Skechers sent (lucky) me both the black boots in the top photo; the Struts with a soft suede upper and soft faux lining and Keepsakes, an upper suede boot with a slouch look and faux lining (mine don’t have the button detail). I’ve been wearing the Keepsakes daily now – they’re easy to slip on and off and look great with jeans or leggings. The Struts are coming with me on my next press trip in a week – now to find the perfect pair of skinny jeans to pair them with (the outfit is always built around the shoes right?!)
I’ve learned that when purchasing any kind of footwear, quality is key – I cringe at my early 20′s self, wearing cheap shoes 8-10 hours a day at work simply because they looked good. I should have spent the money then and had shoes that looked great and didn’t hurt my feet! Ahhh with age comes knowledge right?
