What to Wear to a Wedding

It’s wedding season and if you’re not the one getting hitched, listen up! It’s time to figure out what to wear to the weddings you are invited to this spring/summer. Weddings can be tricky depending on the level of formality and weather conditions. Here are a couple numbers from David’s Bridal that will for sure make you stand out.

Party dresses are always tough to find but once you find one you love, it’s okay to wear it to various occasions. One shoulder looks are great for weddings and dinner parties as they create an elegant and poised neckline. Lace is also a great option if you do it in moderation, and we’ve seen its use on the runway quite a bit this season. Choose a great pattern and a funky neckline for an outdoorsy summer wedding and you won’t go unnoticed. If you want a classy look for a formal wedding, an LBD is always a great choice! As always, pair your new dress with nude peep-toes to elongate your legs, and an original clutch to give your outfit some flare.

  • Interesting post… I have a wedding to attend on September 17- and am due on August 23…. Think I will be dress shopping at the maternity store!

  • I am to attend a garden home wedding. I am a size 8 petite 5′ (shrinking)2″ mother/wife. It is so hard to find something out there. But I have found something…it is a Poleci, yellow ocher with tiny black and off/white Japanese modern print in silk. It is sleeveless. I have a shawl I can wear with it. No problem there—-assessors are a go.

Problem do I shorten it? It is mid calf. My shoes have heels that are 2 1/2″ only because I have a bad back and will be walking on grass. Heels would definately carry off the sheak and classic look much better.

Should I shorten It to below the knee? Would this take away from the overall intent of the dress’s appearance. It is so lovely on and beautifuly made. The dress is bloused with a straight drop skirt cinched in with elastic loosely hidden by a blowzy effect by the top’s material which is at one shoulder crossed over from back to front and made to look sashed. Very elegant. The neckline is bowed (dropped).

Also how do I stop the dress from clinging if it is very hot that day due to static and heat?

    Help me please?
