Upon finding out we were pregnant with baby #3, I realized we were in a bit of a predicament when it came to how we’d actually bathe the baby.  You see, in our current house we have a large jet tub.  I’m kind of kicking myself now that, when we renovated our basement bathroom, we didn’t put in a regular bath tub instead of the corner shower we decided on – that would have made life easier!   So, here we are, a large jet tub and a tiny baby…what’s a mama to do?  Of course, there are many baby tubs out there and we could probably figure out a way to use them on, say, the kitchen table for awhile but I predict chaos with two older kids wanting to help a well.

Another option some people use is the bathroom or kitchen sink.  Maybe normal people but germophobes like me can’t do that.  In fact, just the other day I was watching Dr.Oz and he listed the Top 11 Germ Filled Spots in the Kitchen – the sink was #1.  Ew.  Thankfully, after a little bit of research, I found our newborn-bath time solution!  The Puj Baby Bath Tub.

The Puj Baby Bath Tub stores flat, and then can be folded in the perfect way to fit any sink.  This way, baby gets a comfortable, safe bath in the sink while parents save their backs (and….no germs from an icky sink!) It is even approved by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

We have been using the PUJ Baby Bath Tub for 2 weeks now and have been loving it!  It’s easy to pop into the sink and easy to dry off when we’re done (I just toss it into the tub to dry).  Baby is comfortable and secure on the soft foam and our backs are saved from not having to bend into a bath tub.  I’m not sure how long we’ll be able to use the PUJ Baby Bath Tub for, but when Everleigh is too  big for it, I’ll be sad.  I’ll also have a sore back trying to figure out how to safely bathe her in our huge tub!
