GumDrop Pacifiers are the newest innovation in one-piece pacifier design.  With my first, I didn’t give much thought to whether the pacifier we used was one or more pieces but recent media coverage on pacifiers being recalled due to them causing a choking hazard made me rethink what we had used in the past.  Now, there’s no reason to be alarmist – most quality pacifiers out there are safe even if they involve more than one piece.  However, if you could find a safe one piece pacifier that your baby also loved, wouldn’t that make the most sense (and give mom the most piece of mind?)

A friend of mine uses GumDrop Pacifiers with her daughter and when I found out that Learning Curve, a great website featuring top brands for infants and children that I’ve worked with in the past, features these pacifiers I was eager to try them out in our household.  As it turns out, GumDrop Pacifiers are actually a trusted brand distributed in many hospitals including the one I delivered at so we had a GumDrop Pacifier from day one!

Now, if you’re a germo-phobe like me keeping the pacifier clean when on the go is a necessity.  I admit that I’m doing better with baby #3 than I was with baby #1 but there’s no reason that a pacifier should get popped back in baby’s mouth after hitting the floor without it being cleaned.  I received this handy Pacifier Holder and Pacifier Wipes from The First Years along with my GumDrop Pacifiers and I love the idea.  Made with FDA food-grade ingredients, these wipes can also be used to clean sippy cups and any toy that ends up in baby’s mouth while on the go.
