Ahh pregnancy – in all it’s beauty. Pregnancy *is* beautiful, but it can also be itchy, tender, sore, and achy. And that’s just our skin! I always use more moisturizer in the winter than summer, simply because my skin needs it so much more in our dry climate. Being pregnant over the winter months definitely brings about a whole new need to keep my skin moisturized. The thing is, when pregnant you have to be careful about the products you use on your skin because they can get absorbed into your bloodstream (who knew, right?) Add to it that your skin can become much more sensitive during pregnancy so it’s important to use good quality (safe) products.
When bringing together this line of all natural, quality ingredients, safety was the number one issue. We use only pregnancy-safe essential oil blends and healing herbal extracts. Each product offers unique ingredients such as oat extract for itchy bellies; cucumber and witch hazel for swollen feet; shea butter to comfort during nursing; and green tea and rose bud to refresh the skin.
As soon as I read about oat extract for itchy bellies, I was interested in trying out Bella Mama! That’s my number one skin complaint during pregnancy – no stretch marks but mother-of-all-things-holy my stomach can get so itchy!
